Dave became the Senior Pastor at Good Shepherd in 2001
During his time
at Good Shepherd, the congregation has experienced significant growth and
vitality. A new mission and vision was adopted, a weekly contemporary worship service has been
added, and many new groups have been formed. On Christmas Eve 2008, services were held in Good Shepherd's new sanctuary.
With the new, expanded space, Good Shepherd is now extending its outreach to the
community and adding new members.
Dave wholeheartedly believes that each Christian is a minister on the “Frontlines of this World". He sees it as the job of the church to equip and encourage each person for their daily ministry.
Dave began a daily on-line devotional ministry called “Frontline Devotions.” This e-ministry features devotions every day of the year sent out via email, written by church members.
Dave remains active in the community beyond the church. He serves as a classroom volunteer at a local elementary school. He also serves as the head coach of a girl’s soccer team. Dave plays on a local indoor soccer team at the Rockville Sports Plex.
Dave is a 1991 graduate of Muhlenberg College where he played shortstop and pitcher on the baseball team (check out his awesome records.) Dave graduated from Gettysburg Seminary in 1996. Prior to coming to Good Shepherd, Dave served as Associate Pastor at Grace Lutheran (Camp Hill, PA) from 1996-2001.
